Michelle Roemer
Michelle joined Apogee in 2023 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). She leads Apogee’s information technology team to provide solutions that streamline Apogee’s business operations through technology and process improvement. She is responsible for developing and implementing Apogee’s digital vision and plan, ensuring it aligns with the company’s strategy and supports the needs of our business and customers.
Michelle brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in information technology, program management, accounting, and finance in both public and private companies. Prior to joining Apogee, she served as Senior Vice President, Information Technology for Cirrus Aircraft, where she led the company’s enterprise digital information strategy, championing the use of information and technology in business model design, business process reengineering, and product and service development. Previously, Michelle held leadership roles at ATK (Alliant Techsystems), Gelco Information Network, and Carlson Companies.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Administration in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, and a Mini-Master’s degree in Information Technology from St. Thomas University. She serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of the Northland and is member of the Minnesota CIO Network. In 2022, she was recognized as Chief Information Officer of the Year for a Large Corporate by the Minnesota ORBIE Award, the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States.
